Letters from the Front WW1 - TN Wilmot
My dear mother

I am afraid it is some time since I have written and I have not much time to write now. We get relieved from the trenches tomorrow and as I am acting bombing officer again while the real one is on leave there is rather a lot to do. Also we have been bothered with gas lately which has been awkward.

I had a letter from Ned today, saying that he was getting a very good time in Egypt. That leave was going for them, but that they had to pay their own fare, which I should think would be rather large.

I will write a proper letter when we get into billets.

Your loving son Tom
